Our Firm’s Story

We are a boutique family-based firm with deep roots in the New York City area founded in 1989. Previously known as Law Offices of Steven Cohen, the firm has been an active member of Receivables Management Association International (RMAI) since 2005. Founding partner Steve Cohen is married to his wife of 30+ years and together they have two children. Steve spent over two decades raising his family and building his law practice to the highly reputable and trusted partner the firm is today.

Steve’s son, Kyle Cohen, joined the firm as an intern in 2016. Kyle now brings his own unique talents and goals to the firm and is currently busy driving technology updates across firm operations.

Steve and Kyle Cohen have deep experience in the receivables space and have both spent years building nationwide relationships in the receivables industry, positioning Cohen & Cohen Law as a go-to resource for regional and national businesses seeking representation for litigation and asset recovery matters.
